This piece was based on how to graphically portray organized chaos in the the more distilled theme of spontaneity. The hot air-balloons are representative of an directed and unrestrained means of travel. The sun and the clouds elude to the real world in shape and position, but disturb the common notion of the natural elements in color and texture. This disturbance of what is natural is further explored in the chaotic mountains that bleed into a blur, highlighting the dichotomy between order and disorder. This piece won the Scholastic Honorable Mention Award.
